I can’t believe that today marks a year since I started to blog. I am so thankful to EVERYONE who stops by for a visit to listen to some tunes, read my musing and enjoy all the love displayed in each photograph. I am humbled and so thankful.
To celebrate, for the next 8 days, I want to love you with a little bit of lovely. 8 Days of gifting from me to you.
So.. all you have to do is stop by for a visit & comment (say something sweet). (one comment per person, per day please..if you comment all eight days, your name will be entered 8 times!!) At the end of 8 days, I am going to be drawing out of a hat 8 names, of 8 people, who have left sweet comments on my blog over the next 8 days. (oh my! that is a lotta 8′s!)

I am a huge coffee head. I love an amazing cup of coffee and have collected city mugs from all over the world. I often choose my morning mug by where I would like to be at that moment. Funny, it is never China, although I have been there and loved every moment, I just never pick it. When I drove to TX in Oct of 2010, car packed, over flowing and a head filled with questions, doubts and dreams of how I was going to become a photographer, there was a place and a people that made transition to a new city welcoming.
Starbucks
I was no longer just a customer but I had become a barista. I was wearing the green apron and some how, memorized a myriad of people’s morning routines, which included their coffee beverage. I was helping them to wake up but in more ways than they will ever know, they were helping to wake me up. With each grin and morning hello, my regular customers became who I looked forward to seeing, who I learned from, who I grew to love and who made my everyday. Although I was serving them their coffee and participating in the ordinary of their days, it was in the ordinary that they all grew to become extraordinary. I got to hear and know them as they shared the details of their days and they walked and supported me with their kind words and generosity while I was beginning KSP. Each morning I had a cheering squad and all this took place over coffee.
I can’t say I miss getting up at 4:47am but I do miss seeing all my regulars who became my first friends.
