My redhead chinese speaking & writing to me friend.

I think every year I make a resolution to learn a language. I can speak “op” which maybe a waste of an ability to use my mind to re-work the english language in order to communicate oddly so I can be called quirky. I was speaking in ‘op’ oneday at work and my boss looked at me strangely, not understanding and told me it was a waste of a language skill, then laughed. I thought, tonight I am going to rush out to the Rosetta Stone kiosk and get a different language and beg it to enter into the recesses of my long term memory. Which one.. ? Farsi, Spanish, Italian, French?  Needless to say.. I didn’t but what I do have are friends that didn’t waste their perfectly apt brains to learn another language. They did this not to be quirky, but to love, love a people.

I have met some treasures along the way here in TX. One in particular, who speaks and writes to me in Chinese. So rad. She is the most non-Asian as they come and she is a redhead. I actually want her hair and if I am being honest.. her self-discipline. She didn’t have Rosetta stone. She had a people, a land, a culture and love. She is a precious gem. I am thankful our paths crossed even though for a short time and thankful for you writing to me in Chinese.

This is Sarah. My chinese speaking and writing to me friend.
